We will not prepare any periodic accounting of how we and our affiliates spend these funds. The Hyatt Group need not spend any amount on advertising, marketing or promotional programs in the area where the Hotel is located. There currently are no franchisee advertising councils that advise us on advertising and marketing policies. However, we may form, change, and dissolve these councils.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caption By Hyatt's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Caption By Hyatt will not provide a periodic accounting of how advertising funds are spent. The advertising, marketing, and promotional programs are prepared by the Hyatt Group as part of System Services. These programs may utilize various media, including print, radio, television, and electronic formats, and their scope can be local, regional, national, or international, or focus on specific hotel subsets. The Hyatt Group's corporate personnel and advertising agencies develop these programs.
The funds franchisees pay for System Services will not be used primarily to solicit new franchise sales. The Hyatt Group is not obligated to spend any specific amount on advertising, marketing, or promotional programs in the area where the hotel is located. Currently, there are no franchisee advertising councils to advise on advertising and marketing policies, but Caption By Hyatt may form, change, and dissolve these councils in the future.
Caption By Hyatt may identify a region with two or more Brand Hotels to establish a local or regional advertising cooperative. Franchisees are not required to participate in these cooperatives, but if they choose to do so, they must adhere to the cooperative's rules, including paying their allocable share for advertising, marketing, promotional, and other expenses.
