Within the time period that Hyatt reasonably specifies after the Effective Date, (i) Franchisee's managing owner and senior operations officer must attend an owner orientation program, and (ii) a senior operations officer for Franchisee's initial Management Company must attend an operator orientation program, in each case virtually, at Hyatt's headquarters in Chicago, Illinois or at another location Hyatt designates, unless such person has previously attended Hyatt's
owner orientation program or operator orientation program (as applicable) within the two (2) year period immediately prior to the Effective Date.

According to Caption By Hyatt's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the owner orientation program takes place either virtually, at Hyatt's headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, or at another location that Hyatt designates. The managing owner and senior operations officer of the franchisee must attend this program within a timeframe that Hyatt reasonably specifies after the effective date of the franchise agreement.
Additionally, if the franchisee has an initial management company, a senior operations officer from that company must also attend an operator orientation program. The location options for this program are the same as for the owner orientation: virtually, at Hyatt's headquarters in Chicago, or another location designated by Hyatt.
However, there is an exception: if the individual has already attended Hyatt's owner or operator orientation program within the two years immediately before the effective date, they are not required to attend again. This flexibility allows experienced individuals to avoid redundant training, while ensuring that all new owners and operators are properly oriented to Caption By Hyatt's standards and procedures.
