What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, it is not possible to determine whether training for the new franchisee is a condition for Canopy Lawn Care's approval of a transfer. While Item 17 discusses conditions for franchisor approval of transfer, it does not specify whether training is one of those conditions.
Item 17(m) is entitled "Conditions for franchisor approval of transfer", but the excerpt provided only includes information pertaining to the non-waiver provisions of the General Business Law of the State of New York.
A prospective franchisee should ask Canopy Lawn Care for more information about the specific conditions required for transfer approval, including whether the new franchisee must complete a training program.
