Is there a tuition or fee for the initial training program for a Canopy Lawn Care franchise?

According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no tuition or fee for the initial training program for the franchisee, their Designated Business Manager, or additional staff members as mutually agreed upon. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering the costs of airfare, ground transportation, lodging, meals, personal expenses, and the Designated Business Manager's salary and benefits during the training period.

The initial training program is approximately 5 days long and held at Canopy Lawn Care's headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, or another designated location. The franchisee or, if not an individual, a Designated Business Manager must attend and successfully complete the training program within 90 days of signing the Franchise Agreement. If the Designated Business Manager leaves the company, a replacement must complete the training within 90 days of the initial manager's termination, provided a training program is available during that period.

While Canopy Lawn Care does not charge a tuition fee for the initial training, franchisees should be aware of the significant out-of-pocket expenses for travel, accommodation, and salary during the training period.
