Is there a fee for the initial training programs offered by Canopy Lawn Care?

According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no fee for the initial training programs. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel, meals, personal, and living expenses incurred by themselves, their Designated Business Manager, and any additional participants during the training.

Prior to opening their Canopy Lawn Care business, the franchisee or their Designated Business Manager must attend and successfully complete all initial training programs. These programs are crucial for understanding the Canopy Lawn Care system, operational techniques, basic agronomics, and methods of operation. The training also covers advertising, sales techniques, marketing plans, customer relations, information technology systems, quality standards, administrative and accounting practices, and safety.

Franchisees should factor in the costs associated with travel, accommodation, and personal expenses when budgeting for the initial training. While the training itself is free, these related expenses can add up. Additionally, Canopy Lawn Care may require attendance at mandatory annual conferences, for which the franchisee will also be responsible for all associated costs, including conference fees and travel expenses.
