What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to use the bookkeeping services that Canopy Lawn Care designates. The standard Bookkeeping Services Fee is $350 per month, which covers up to 5 hours of bookkeeping assistance. If a franchisee requires more than 5 hours of assistance, they will be charged Canopy Lawn Care's then-current hourly fee for each additional hour.

However, if a prospective Canopy Lawn Care franchisee already uses a bookkeeping service for a similarly situated franchised business, they can request to continue using their current service. Canopy Lawn Care may grant permission to use the franchisee's current bookkeeping service at its sole discretion.

It is important to note that Canopy Lawn Care retains the right to increase the Bookkeeping Services Fee at any time, provided they give notice to the franchisee. This means that the franchisee should be prepared for potential increases in this monthly fee over the term of the franchise agreement. Franchisees should factor in potential fee increases when projecting their operating expenses.
