What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Delivery Date is the date on which the vehicle is delivered to the franchisee ('Lessee') and marks the beginning of the lease term for that specific vehicle. The lease term continues for the period described in the applicable Schedule, unless terminated earlier according to the lease agreement's terms. This date is important because it officially starts the franchisee's financial obligations under the vehicle lease.
Specifically, the Delivery Date affects the monthly rental payments. If a vehicle is delivered on a day other than the first day of the month, the franchisee's monthly rental payments will commence on the first day of the following month. Additionally, Canopy Lawn Care franchisees are responsible for paying a pro-rated rental charge for the number of days between the Delivery Date and the first day of the next month when the regular monthly payments begin.
Furthermore, the franchisee has a limited window to object to the terms outlined in the vehicle schedule. The franchisee must object in writing to the schedule within ten days after the vehicle's delivery date. Failure to object within this timeframe means the franchisee is bound by the terms specified in the schedule. Therefore, Canopy Lawn Care franchisees should carefully inspect the vehicle and review the lease schedule upon delivery to ensure all terms are acceptable.
