What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase QuickBooks Online from the company. The cost for QuickBooks Online is $74.50 per month. This is a mandatory expense for all Canopy Lawn Care franchisees.
Franchisees must use a computer system for various tasks, including word processing, email communication with the franchisor, and tracking customer information. They should possess sufficient computer skills to operate the system and access email and the Internet. High-speed Internet access is required if available in the franchisee's area, and franchisees must check their email daily.
In addition to the QuickBooks Online subscription, franchisees must also pay a monthly Technology Fee, which is currently 2% of Gross Revenues. This fee provides access to proprietary technology systems that assist with customer acquisition, communication, work delivery, and payment processing. These systems include website hosting, automated lawn measurement, dynamic pricing, automated quote generation, SMS messaging, online sales and payment collection, scheduling tools, automated invoicing, telephony integration, lead tracking, and marketing integrations.
