What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Canopy Lawn Care reserves the right to purchase or merge with any business, including those that directly compete with a franchisee's Canopy Lawn Care business. This clause gives Canopy Lawn Care broad latitude in its business development strategies.
Canopy Lawn Care also reserves the right to acquire and convert businesses offering similar lawn care services into the Canopy Lawn Care system. This includes competitors, independent operators, or businesses associated with other franchise systems, regardless of location. This conversion can occur inside or outside a franchisee's territory.
These rights are retained by Canopy Lawn Care without any obligation to compensate the franchisee.
