What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as part of their pre-opening obligations, Canopy Lawn Care will provide guidance, coaching, and assistance to franchisees in designating their territory. This is referenced in Section 7.3(b) of the Franchise Agreement and Attachment A to the Franchise Agreement.
This means that before a franchisee begins operating their Canopy Lawn Care business, the franchisor will work with them to define and establish the specific geographic area in which they will be authorized to offer and provide services. The territory designation process is a crucial step in setting up the franchise, as it determines the franchisee's exclusive or protected area of operation.
Prospective franchisees should carefully review Section 7.3(b) and Attachment A of the Franchise Agreement to fully understand the terms and conditions related to territory designation. It is important to clarify whether the territory is exclusive, protected, or non-exclusive, and what factors are considered when determining the boundaries of the territory. Understanding these details is essential for assessing the potential market and competition within the designated area.
