What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, monthly rental payments are due in advance on the first day of each month. If a vehicle is delivered to the franchisee on any day other than the first day of the month, the monthly rental payments will begin on the first day of the next month.
In addition to the standard monthly rental payment, Canopy Lawn Care franchisees must also pay a pro-rated rental charge for the number of days between the vehicle's delivery date and the first monthly rental payment date. This ensures that Canopy Lawn Care is compensated for the vehicle's use during that initial partial month.
It's important for prospective Canopy Lawn Care franchisees to carefully review the Schedules and Open-End (Equity) Lease Rate Quotes, as these documents will specify the exact "Total Monthly Rental Including Additional Services" amount due. Franchisees should also note that a portion of each monthly rental payment is designated as a "Depreciation Reserve" and will be credited against the vehicle's Delivered Price when calculating its Book Value.
