  • (d) Within 90 days of the mutual execution of this Agreement, providing Franchisee, or if Franchisee is an entity, a person designated to manage the Business ("Designated Business Manager") with an initial training program.

The initial training program shall be in Richmond Virginia, Raleigh, North Carolina, or another location designated by Franchisor.

Training may include a discussion of the System, techniques, procedures, basic agronomics and methods of operation, advertising, sales techniques, promotional ideas, marketing plans, customer relations, information technology systems, instructions on quality standards, administrative practices and procedures, safety practices, accounting practices, and practical experience in the operation of a Lawn Care Business.

According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program will be held in Richmond, Virginia; Raleigh, North Carolina; or another location designated by Canopy Lawn Care. Prior to opening their business, the franchisee or their Designated Business Manager must attend and successfully complete all initial training programs. There is no fee for the initial training programs; however, the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel, meals, personal, and living expenses incurred by themselves, the Designated Business Manager, and any additional participants.
