What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee does not have adequate space and storage to operate the Lawn Care Business from a home office, they must obtain a flexible warehouse space and/or storage space. Furthermore, the franchisee must obtain Canopy Lawn Care's prior approval of any flexible warehouse space and lease, if applicable.
This means that a Canopy Lawn Care franchisee cannot simply choose any warehouse space. They must first get approval from the franchisor before leasing or operating out of the warehouse. This requirement ensures that the location meets Canopy Lawn Care's standards and is suitable for the business operations.
This requirement is fairly typical in franchising, as franchisors want to ensure brand consistency and that franchisees operate in locations that uphold the brand image and are conducive to business success. Prospective franchisees should carefully review the criteria Canopy Lawn Care uses to approve warehouse spaces and leases to ensure they can find a suitable location that meets these requirements.
