We may use the Brand Fund for the creation, production and placement of commercial advertising; internet advertising; agency costs and commissions; creation and production of video, audio and written advertisements; administering multi-regional advertising programs, direct mail and other media advertising; in-house staff creative development, assistance and related administrative costs; local promotions; supporting public relations; market research; website development; public relations efforts including affiliations with charitable organizations related to the Lawn Care Business; and other advertising and marketing activities, including participating at trade shows or industry associations. Advertising may be placed in local, regional or national media of our choice, including print, direct mail, internet, radio or television. We do not guarantee that advertising expenditures from the Brand Fund will benefit you or any other franchisee directly, on a pro rata basis, or at all.
We will not use Brand Fund monies to solicit franchisees in our current fiscal year.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Brand Fund is used to promote Canopy Lawn Care businesses and conduct marketing activities. Canopy Lawn Care may use the Brand Fund for creating and placing commercial advertising, including internet advertising. The fund can also cover agency costs and commissions, as well as the creation and production of video, audio, and written advertisements.
Additionally, the Brand Fund may be used for administering multi-regional advertising programs, direct mail, and other media advertising. It can support in-house staff creative development, assistance, and related administrative costs, as well as local promotions and public relations efforts. Market research and website development are also potential uses of the Brand Fund. Canopy Lawn Care may also use the fund for public relations efforts, including affiliations with charitable organizations related to the lawn care business, and for participating at trade shows or industry associations.
For the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, 100% of the Brand Fund was used for advertising production. Canopy Lawn Care does not guarantee that advertising expenditures from the Brand Fund will directly benefit any franchisee on a pro rata basis or at all. The Brand Fund is administered at Canopy Lawn Care's discretion, and they may use a professional advertising agency or media buyer to assist them. Franchisees contribute 1% of their gross revenues to the Brand Fund, and Canopy Lawn Care reserves the right to increase this contribution to a maximum of 2% of gross revenues with at least 30 days' notice.
