What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canopy Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company may evaluate designated suppliers based on several commercially reasonable factors. These include price, service, quality, warranty, and delivery terms. This evaluation process is in place to ensure that franchisees have access to reliable suppliers who can provide the necessary products and services to operate their Canopy Lawn Care businesses effectively.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that Canopy Lawn Care is actively involved in ensuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of the supplies and services used within the franchise system. If a franchisee wishes to use a supplier not already on the approved list, they must submit samples and detailed information about the supplier and product for evaluation. Canopy Lawn Care will then assess the proposed supplier based on the criteria mentioned above.
Canopy Lawn Care will notify the franchisee of their decision regarding the alternative supplier within 90 days of the request. There is no fee charged for this evaluation. However, Canopy Lawn Care retains the right to revoke approval of any supplier with 30 days' prior written notice to the franchisee. This process allows Canopy Lawn Care to maintain standards across all franchise locations while also considering alternative options proposed by franchisees.
