What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee of $45,000 is generally non-refundable once paid. However, there is one specific circumstance under which a refund may be issued. If a franchisee fails to complete the Initial Training Program to Canine Dimensions' satisfaction, Canine Dimensions may terminate the Franchise Agreement and refund the initial franchise fee. In this case, Canine Dimensions will deduct reasonable expenses from the refund amount.

This condition provides a limited safety net for franchisees who, despite their best efforts, cannot meet the required standards during the initial training. It is important to note that the refund is not guaranteed simply for failing the program; Canine Dimensions must also terminate the agreement. Furthermore, the refund is net of reasonable expenses, which could include costs incurred by Canine Dimensions for training, materials, and other resources provided to the franchisee.

For a prospective Canine Dimensions franchisee, this highlights the importance of thorough preparation and commitment to the initial training program. Franchisees should clarify with Canine Dimensions what constitutes 'reasonable expenses' that would be deducted from the refund. Understanding the specific criteria for successful completion of the training program is also crucial to minimize the risk of failing to meet Canine Dimensions' standards and potentially losing a portion of the initial franchise fee.
