pon Termination and Non-Renewal of an agreement are set forth in sections 19 and 20 of the Illinois Franchise Disclosure Act.
In conformance with section 41 of the Illinois Franchise Disclosure Act, any condition, stipulation or provision purporting to bind any person acquiring any franchise to waive compliance with the Illinois Franchise Disclosure Act or any other law of Illinois is void.
No statement, questionnaire, or acknowledgment signed or agreed to by a franchisee in connection with the commencement of the franchise relationship shall have the effect of (i) waiving any claims under any applicable state franchise law, including fraud in the inducement, or (ii) disclaiming reliance on any statement made by any franchisor, franchise seller, or other person acting on behalf of the franchisor. This provision supersedes any other term of any document executed in connection with the franchise.

Any provision in the Franchise Agreement or Franchisee Disclosure Acknowledgement Statement which would require you to prospectively assent to a release, assignment, novation, waiver or estoppel which purports to relieve any person from liability imposed by the Iowa Business Opportunity Promotions Law (Iowa Code Ch. 551A) is void to the extent that such provision violates such law.
The following language will be added to the Franchise Agreement:

If you cancel, any property traded in, any payments made by you under the contract or sale, and any negotiable instrument executed by you will be returned within ten business days following receipt by the seller of your cancellation notice, and any security interest arising out of the transaction will be canceled.
If you cancel, you must make available to the seller at your residence or business address, in substantially as good condition as when received, any goods delivered to you under this contract or sale;

This includes waivers of claims under state franchise law or disclaimers of reliance on statements made by Canine Dimensions.
Similarly, in Iowa, any provision requiring a prospective release, assignment, novation, waiver, or estoppel that relieves a person from liability imposed by the Iowa Business Opportunity Promotions Law is void if it violates that law.
For franchises offered and sold in Minnesota, any provision requiring a release, assignment, novation, or waiver that relieves any person from liability under Minnesota Statutes, Sections 80C.01 to 80C.22 is void if it violates that law. Additionally, franchisees in Minnesota cannot waive their rights to a jury trial or any procedure, forum, or remedies provided by Minnesota law. These stipulations ensure that franchisees retain their legal rights and protections under state laws, regardless of what the franchise agreement might otherwise state.
