What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the total number of classroom training hours is 38. The initial training program is held at Canine Dimensions' training facilities in Bonita Springs, FL, or at another designated location. The training program generally lasts approximately two to four weeks. Franchisees are responsible for their own expenses, including transportation, lodging, food, and wages, as well as those of any additional trainees.
The classroom training covers various subjects, including case studies, canine diet and nutrition, dog psychology and body language, local sales and marketing strategies, association memberships, and observation of skills and testing. The training program is provided by Phil Guida and Amanda Striker. Phil Guida has over 20 years of experience as a professional dog trainer and behavior consultant. Amanda Striker has experience as a professional dog trainer and was promoted to Managing Director in 2022.
Canine Dimensions reserves the right to vary the training program based on the prior experience of the trainee(s). After completing the training session, further training and assistance are limited to telephone, email, and on-site assistance, as determined by Canine Dimensions. If a franchisee requests additional on-site training or if Canine Dimensions determines that additional on-site training would be beneficial, the franchisee must pay the then-current per diem rate per trainer, and reimburse the trainer's costs for providing the on-site training, including travel, lodging, and meals. Currently, the per-diem daily trainer rate is $350 per trainer.
