What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a monthly advertising fee of $1,000. This fee is allocated to an Internet Advertising program managed by Canine Dimensions. The fee is due on the first day of each month, as outlined in Section 5.5 of the agreement. If the first day of the month falls on a non-business day, the payment is due on the next business day.
The purpose of this advertising fee is to support the standardization of advertising programs, which Canine Dimensions believes is important for enhancing the goodwill and public image of the Canine Dimensions system. The funds collected are specifically designated for an Internet Advertising Fund, which Canine Dimensions will administer as described in Section 11.3.
While franchisees are required to contribute to the Internet Advertising Fund, they may also conduct print advertising in their Protected Territory, subject to prior written approval from Canine Dimensions. Additionally, Canine Dimensions may offer franchisees approved local marketing plans and materials on the same terms offered to other franchisees. This suggests that while the internet advertising is mandatory, there is some flexibility for local advertising efforts with the franchisor's consent.
