Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You will typically open your Franchised Business within 30 to 60 days after you sign the Franchise Agreement. The factors that affect this time are the ability to complete training, establish your home-based office, obtaining any required business licenses or permits, and obtaining insurance.

Post-Opening Obligations. During the operation of your Franchised Business, we will:

    1. Make available to you additional training programs (Franchise Agreement –Section 6).
    1. Make a representative reasonably available to speak with you by telephone during normal business hours. (Franchise Agreement – Section 3)
    1. Provide guidance and assistance in the operation of your Franchised Business. Such guidance may be provided in the form of email correspondence, field visits and periodic telephone or written communications, and will cover topics such as products or services to be offered to customers; improvements and developments in your Franchised Business; pricing; administrative, bookkeeping, accounting and inventory control procedures; and operating problems encountered by you. (Franchise Agreement – Section 3)
    1. Conduct Internet advertising for franchisees who choose to participate in our Internet Advertising Fund. We describe the Internet Advertising Fund later in this Item. (Franchise Agreement – Section 11.3)

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee will typically open their business within 30 to 60 days after signing the Franchise Agreement. This timeframe is influenced by several factors, including completing the initial training program, setting up a home-based office, securing any necessary business licenses or permits, and obtaining adequate insurance coverage.

Prior to opening, Canine Dimensions will designate the franchisee's protected territory, provide initial training, loan a copy of the operations manual, and advise on required equipment and inventory. The franchisee is obligated to purchase an initial inventory of authorized products from Canine Dimensions before commencing operations.

Since the Canine Dimensions franchise is home-based, the location is usually approved and entered on the Franchise Agreement at signing. This eliminates the potentially lengthy site selection and build-out phase common in retail franchises, contributing to the relatively short 30-60 day opening window. Prospective franchisees should confirm the training schedule and specific pre-opening support timeline with Canine Dimensions to ensure a smooth launch.
