Does Canine Dimensions have the right to require a new criminal background check at any time?

According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Canine Dimensions has the right to require franchisees and their owners to submit to a new, updated criminal background check at any time during the term of the franchise agreement and at the franchisor's discretion.

This means that even after the initial background check conducted as part of obtaining the franchise, Canine Dimensions can request additional background checks. This condition allows Canine Dimensions to maintain its brand standards and protect its customers by ensuring that franchisees and their owners continue to meet certain suitability standards throughout the duration of the franchise agreement.

Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to inform Canine Dimensions within two business days if they or any of their owners are charged with or convicted of a felony, fraud, a crime involving moral turpitude, theft, burglary, animal cruelty, or breaking and entering.
