What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for upgrades to their computer software. Franchisees can obtain the computer system from any supplier, provided it meets Canine Dimensions' specifications.
While Canine Dimensions does not specify who is responsible for paying for the upgrades, it does state that franchisees may enter into a hardware maintenance contract with a company of their choosing, as long as they follow Canine Dimensions' procedures for approval of such outside suppliers. Canine Dimensions is not an approved supplier or the only approved supplier of the hardware maintenance contract.
Prospective franchisees should clarify with Canine Dimensions whether they are responsible for the costs associated with these upgrades and what the typical cost and frequency of these upgrades are. This will help them budget accordingly and understand the ongoing technology expenses associated with operating a Canine Dimensions franchise.
