What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for training their own employees and independent contractors. Canine Dimensions provides initial training to the franchisee on the System, System guidelines, and operational and brand standards, but explicitly does not train or assist in training the franchisee's personnel.
This means that after the initial training provided by Canine Dimensions, the franchisee takes on the full responsibility of ensuring that their employees and independent contractors are properly trained in all aspects of the business. This includes hiring, directing, scheduling, and supervising them in the day-to-day operations of the Canine Dimensions franchise.
This is a fairly standard arrangement in franchising, where the franchisor provides initial training to the franchisee, who then becomes responsible for their own staff. Prospective franchisees should factor in the time and resources required to develop and implement their own training programs for employees and independent contractors. This may include creating training materials, conducting training sessions, and providing ongoing support and development opportunities.
