Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Franchisee shall not relocate the Franchised Business without the express prior written consent of Franchisor. Franchisee's new location must be within its Protected Territory (as described in Section 1.3 below), except that if Franchisee chooses to move its home to a location outside of the Protected Territory, Franchisor may require Franchisee to obtain rented space within the Protected Territory from which to operate the Franchised Business.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must obtain the express prior written consent of Canine Dimensions before relocating their Franchised Business. The franchisee's new location must be within their Protected Territory. However, if the franchisee moves their home outside of the Protected Territory, Canine Dimensions may require the franchisee to obtain rented space within the Protected Territory from which to operate the Franchised Business.

This requirement ensures that Canine Dimensions maintains control over the location of its franchises and protects the integrity of its brand. By requiring written consent, Canine Dimensions can assess whether the new location is suitable for the business and consistent with its overall strategy.

For a prospective Canine Dimensions franchisee, this means that relocating the business is not a decision that can be made unilaterally. It requires careful consideration and approval from Canine Dimensions. The franchisee should factor in the potential costs and logistical challenges of securing a new location, as well as the possibility of being required to maintain a separate business location within the Protected Territory if their home is outside of it. It is important to communicate openly with Canine Dimensions about any relocation plans to ensure a smooth and compliant transition.
