What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the purpose of the Questionnaire within the Franchisee Disclosure Acknowledgment Statement is to verify the accuracy and completeness of information provided to potential franchisees. Canine Dimensions uses this questionnaire to determine if any unauthorized, untrue, inaccurate, or misleading statements or promises were made by its employees, authorized representatives, or brokers during the franchise sales process. This helps Canine Dimensions ensure that prospective franchisees are making informed decisions based on the information disclosed in the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
Specifically, Canine Dimensions aims to confirm that the prospective franchisee understands that buying a franchise involves business risks and that they are not relying on any oral statements, representations, promises, or assurances not authorized by Canine Dimensions. The questionnaire also serves to document that the franchisee acknowledges the various factors that can influence the success or failure of the franchise, such as their own skills, competition, economic conditions, and location.
By using this questionnaire, Canine Dimensions seeks to protect itself from potential legal claims by ensuring franchisees acknowledge they did not rely on unauthorized information. It also reinforces the importance of the FDD as the primary source of information for making a franchise investment decision. This practice is common in the franchise industry, as franchisors strive to maintain transparency and compliance with federal and state franchise laws.
Prospective Canine Dimensions franchisees should carefully review and truthfully answer all questions in the questionnaire. Any discrepancies or concerns about information received outside of the FDD should be clearly documented and discussed with a legal or business advisor before signing the Franchise Agreement. This will help ensure that the franchisee is fully informed and aware of the terms and conditions of the franchise opportunity.
