Canine_Dimensions Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Designate your Protected Territory, which will be described in Schedule A to the Franchise Agreement. (Franchise Agreement – Section 1.3).

We anticipate that you will operate your Franchised Business from your home, which will be designated as the "Approved Location" for the Franchised Business. We must approve of the location for your Franchised Business and we will typically enter your home's location on the Franchise Agreement as the "Approved Location" at the time of signing.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Protected Territory for a franchise will be designated in Schedule A of the Franchise Agreement. The FDD also states that Canine Dimensions anticipates franchisees will operate from their homes, which will be designated as the "Approved Location" for the business. This location is typically entered on the Franchise Agreement at the time of signing.

This means that before a Canine Dimensions franchise opens, the franchisor will define a specific geographic area as the franchisee's Protected Territory. The boundaries of this territory will be formally documented in Schedule A of the Franchise Agreement, providing the franchisee with an exclusive area to operate within. In addition, the franchisee's home will be the Approved Location for the business.

Since Canine Dimensions franchises are home-based, the Approved Location is the franchisee's residence. The FDD does not specify the criteria used to determine the size or characteristics of the Protected Territory outlined in Schedule A. A prospective franchisee should inquire about the factors that influence the designation of the Protected Territory, such as population density, demographics, or competition from other dog training services, to fully understand the potential market within their exclusive area.
