What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are permitted to acquire a successor franchise for one 5-year term. This is contingent upon meeting the requirements outlined in Section 2.2 of the Franchise Agreement.
To acquire a successor franchise, a franchisee must provide Canine Dimensions with advance written notice, be in good standing, sign a new Franchise Agreement and a release, pay a renewal fee, and meet the then-current requirements for franchisees. While the new contract may contain materially different terms and conditions compared to the original, the boundaries of the Protected Territory will remain the same.
The fees for obtaining a successor franchise will not exceed those imposed on similarly situated renewing franchisees. This provides some assurance that Canine Dimensions will not arbitrarily inflate renewal fees. This right to renew allows franchisees to potentially extend their business operations under the Canine Dimensions brand, offering continued revenue and brand recognition, provided they meet the specified conditions.
