What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wishes to purchase items from a supplier not already approved by Canine Dimensions, they must first seek written approval from the franchisor. This request must include any additional information that Canine Dimensions requires to evaluate the potential supplier.
Canine Dimensions has the right to inspect the supplier's facilities and request samples for testing. These samples can be sent either to Canine Dimensions directly or to an independent third party designated by Canine Dimensions. The franchisee or the unapproved supplier is responsible for covering the costs associated with this evaluation, which amounts to $250 or Canine Dimensions' actual costs, whichever is higher.
Furthermore, Canine Dimensions may impose other reasonable requirements on the supplier, including ongoing inspection fees and administrative costs. Canine Dimensions retains the right to re-inspect any previously approved supplier and can revoke approval if the supplier fails to meet the franchisor's current standards. This process ensures that all suppliers meet Canine Dimensions' quality and operational criteria, protecting the brand's reputation and maintaining consistency across all franchise locations.
