What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all advertising and promotional materials that a franchisee submits for review become the property of Canine Dimensions. Canine Dimensions has the discretion to use or disseminate these materials as it sees fit.

This means that once a Canine Dimensions franchisee submits advertising samples for approval, they relinquish control over those materials. Canine Dimensions can then use those ideas or materials in any way it chooses, potentially across the entire franchise system.

This clause is important for prospective franchisees to understand, as it affects their intellectual property rights regarding advertising concepts. Franchisees should consider the implications of submitting original ideas and designs, as they will no longer have exclusive rights to them once submitted for approval. Franchisees may want to discuss with Canine Dimensions what protections they have for their advertising materials.
