What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor uses a questionnaire to determine if any unauthorized statements or promises were made to potential franchisees. This questionnaire aims to confirm that prospective franchisees understand that buying a franchise involves risks and that they are not relying on any oral assurances of success not authorized by Canine Dimensions.
The questionnaire asks potential franchisees to confirm whether any broker or franchisor representative made promises about potential earnings, revenues, or operating costs that differ from the information in the FDD. It also addresses promises about the likelihood of success, advertising, marketing, training, support, or assistance that contradict the FDD or franchise agreement. Franchisees must acknowledge that their success depends on their skills, abilities, competition, economic factors, and management capabilities.
Furthermore, the FDD states that the decision to enter into the Canine Dimensions franchise agreement should not be based on any oral representations, assurances, warranties, guarantees, or promises made by the franchisor or its agents regarding the likelihood of success. Franchisees acknowledge that they have not received any information about actual, projected, or forecasted franchise sales, profits, or earnings that are not contained in the Disclosure Document. If a potential franchisee has received any such information, they are instructed to describe it.
Canine Dimensions emphasizes that business risks exist and that the success or failure of the franchise is subject to various variables. By signing the questionnaire, franchisees represent that they have responded truthfully and acknowledge their awareness of and willingness to undertake these business risks. This process is intended to ensure that franchisees make informed decisions based on the documented information provided in the FDD, rather than relying on potentially misleading verbal assurances.
