What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no mention of any specific addendum, acknowledgement form, or procedure related to the cancellation clause of the Franchise Agreement that is specific to franchisees in Ohio. The document does outline a general cancellation procedure that applies to all franchisees, where the franchisee can cancel the transaction within three business days with a written notice to Canine Dimensions. The FDD also includes state-specific addenda for California and Virginia, addressing franchise law and termination rights in those states.
Because there is no mention of Ohio-specific requirements, it is important for prospective Canine Dimensions franchisees in Ohio to carefully review the Franchise Agreement and Disclosure Document for any clauses related to cancellation, termination, or renewal that may be impacted by Ohio state law.
To fully understand their rights and obligations, prospective Canine Dimensions franchisees in Ohio should seek legal counsel to review the franchise agreement and ensure compliance with Ohio state laws regarding franchising. They should also ask the franchisor directly about any specific requirements or considerations for franchisees operating in Ohio, particularly concerning cancellation policies and any potential conflicts with state regulations.
