What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee seeking to renew their franchise agreement for an additional 5-year term must meet several requirements. These include providing advance written notice to Canine Dimensions, being in good standing with the company, and signing both a new Franchise Agreement and a release.
In addition to these conditions, the franchisee must pay a renewal fee and, importantly, meet Canine Dimensions's then-current requirements for franchisees. This means that the standards and qualifications for franchisees may evolve over time, and a franchisee seeking renewal must demonstrate that they meet these updated criteria. The new Franchise Agreement that a renewing franchisee is required to sign may contain materially different terms and conditions than the original agreement.
However, the boundaries of the franchisee's Protected Territory will remain the same upon renewal. Furthermore, the fees for obtaining a successor franchise will not be greater than the fees that Canine Dimensions then imposes on similarly situated renewing franchisees. This provides some assurance that renewal fees will be competitive and consistent within the Canine Dimensions franchise system.
