What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Canine Dimensions franchisees must modify or alter vehicles operated under the Franchise Agreement upon termination or expiration of the agreement. The franchisee must make specific additional changes to the vehicles as Canine Dimensions may reasonably request. This obligation is part of the broader requirement to de-identify the business after the agreement ends, ensuring no continued association with the Canine Dimensions brand.
This de-identification process includes ceasing operation of the Franchised Business, refraining from representing oneself as a current or former Canine Dimensions franchisee, and discontinuing the use of any confidential methods, procedures, or trademarks associated with the Canine Dimensions system. Franchisees must remove all Internet listings, local citations, and social media associated with the system, and discontinue the use of signs, advertising materials, displays, stationery, forms, and any other articles or clothing displaying the Canine Dimensions marks.
In addition to altering vehicles, franchisees must cancel any assumed name registrations containing the Canine Dimensions mark and provide proof of compliance to Canine Dimensions within 30 days of termination or expiration. They must also notify the telephone company and listing agencies of the termination of their right to use any telephone number and directory listings associated with the Canine Dimensions marks, authorizing the transfer of these to Canine Dimensions.
While the FDD specifies de-identification requirements for vehicles upon termination or expiration of the agreement, it does not detail how vehicles must be identified during the active term of the franchise agreement. A prospective franchisee should seek clarification from Canine Dimensions regarding vehicle branding and identification requirements during the franchise term.
