We anticipate that you will operate your Franchised Business from your home, which will be designated as the "Approved Location" for the Franchised Business. We must approve of the location for your Franchised Business and we will typically enter your home's location on the Franchise Agreement as the "Approved Location" at the time of signing.
You will typically open your Franchised Business within 30 to 60 days after you sign the Franchise Agreement. The factors that affect this time are the ability to complete training, establish your home-based office, obtaining any required business licenses or permits, and obtaining insurance.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees will typically operate their franchised business from their home. The franchisee's home will be designated as the "Approved Location" for the business. Canine Dimensions must approve this location, and it will be noted on the Franchise Agreement when signing.
This home-based operation has several implications for prospective franchisees. It reduces the need for commercial real estate, lowering startup costs and overhead. However, franchisees must ensure their home is suitable for conducting business, which may involve setting up a dedicated office space and ensuring it meets any local zoning requirements.
The FDD also states that franchisees will typically open their Canine Dimensions business within 30 to 60 days after signing the Franchise Agreement. This timeframe depends on completing training, establishing the home-based office, obtaining necessary licenses and permits, and securing insurance. These factors are crucial for franchisees to consider when planning their launch timeline.
Operating from home also means that franchisees will need to manage their work-life balance effectively. They will need to create clear boundaries between their personal and professional lives to maintain productivity and avoid burnout. While Canine Dimensions does not provide specific guidance on setting up a home office, franchisees may find resources and best practices from other home-based franchise businesses helpful.
