STATE EFFECTIVE DATES
The following states require that the Franchise Disclosure Document be registered or filed with the state, or be exempt from registration: California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
This document is effective and may be used in the following states, where the document is filed, registered or exempt from registration, as of the Effective Date stated below:

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the FDD is not automatically effective in all states. Certain states require that the Franchise Disclosure Document be registered or filed with the state, or be exempt from registration.
Specifically, the states that require registration, filing, or exemption are California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. The document is effective and may be used in these states as of the Effective Date stated in the FDD.
Exhibit A of the Canine Dimensions FDD lists the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of the state agencies responsible for franchising disclosure/registration laws and for service of process. It is important to note that Canine Dimensions may not yet be registered to sell franchises in all of these states. If a state is not listed, Canine Dimensions has not appointed an agent for service of process in that state in connection with franchise laws, although additional agents may be appointed in some listed states.
