What factors does Canine Dimensions consider when varying the training program?

Canine_Dimensions Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We reserve the right to vary our training program based on the prior experience of the trainee(s). After completion of the training session, training and assistance will limited to telephone assistance, email assistance and/or on-site assistance as we determine in our reasonable business judgment. If you request additional training on-site, or if we determine that you would benefit from additional on-site training, you must pay our then-current per diem rate per trainer, and reimburse our trainer's costs for providing the onsite training, including travel, lodging and meals. Currently, our per-diem daily trainer rate is $350 per trainer.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company reserves the right to modify its training program based on the trainee's prior experience. This means that if a new franchisee has extensive prior experience in dog training or a related field, Canine Dimensions may adjust the initial training program to avoid covering already familiar topics. This could potentially shorten the training period or focus it on specific aspects of the Canine Dimensions system.

For a prospective franchisee, this policy could be beneficial. Individuals with relevant experience might find the training process more efficient and tailored to their needs. However, it's important to note that Canine Dimensions retains the discretion to determine the extent and nature of any adjustments to the training program. Franchisees should be prepared to provide documentation or evidence of their prior experience to support a request for a modified training schedule.

After the initial training, Canine Dimensions limits its support to telephone, email, or on-site assistance, based on their judgment. If a franchisee requires or Canine Dimensions deems beneficial additional on-site training, the franchisee will incur costs. The per diem rate for a trainer is currently $350, plus reimbursement for travel, lodging, and meals. This highlights the importance of maximizing the initial training provided and utilizing ongoing support effectively to minimize potential additional expenses.
