What factors might Canine Dimensions consider when approving a supplier?
Canine_Dimensions Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Generally, supplier approval might depend on product quality, delivery frequency and reliability, service standards, financial capability, customer relations, concentration of purchases with limited suppliers to obtain better prices and service, and/or a supplier's willingness to pay us or our affiliates for the right to do business with our System.
In evaluating an exclusive supplier, we may take into account, among other things, the uniqueness of the product; the projected price and required volume of the product; the investment required and the ability of the supplier to meet the required quality and quantity of the product; the availability of qualified, alternative suppliers; the duration of the exclusivity; and the desirability of competitive bidding.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, several factors could influence their supplier approval process. Generally, Canine Dimensions' supplier approval might depend on factors such as product quality, delivery frequency and reliability, service standards, financial capability, customer relations, concentration of purchases with limited suppliers to obtain better prices and service, and/or a supplier's willingness to pay Canine Dimensions or its affiliates for the right to do business with their System.
When evaluating an exclusive supplier, Canine Dimensions may consider the uniqueness of the product, the projected price and required volume, the investment required and the supplier's ability to meet quality and quantity demands, the availability of alternative suppliers, the duration of the exclusivity, and the desirability of competitive bidding. Franchisees need to be aware that Canine Dimensions does not make its specific criteria for selecting approved suppliers available to franchisees, nor does it disclose its specifications to suppliers.
Prospective Canine Dimensions franchisees should note that if they wish to use a supplier not already approved, they must notify Canine Dimensions and obtain written approval. This process includes providing Canine Dimensions with the supplier's specifications and standards for review. Canine Dimensions will then respond in writing, typically via email, within 60 days after having the opportunity to test the item or supplier. The franchisee will be required to pay for the costs of testing, with a minimum cost of $250. Canine Dimensions reserves the right to re-inspect facilities and retest products from approved suppliers and can revoke approval if standards are not maintained.
