What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, in the event of the death or disability of a franchisee, the executor, administrator, or personal representative of the franchisee's estate must, within thirty days, arrange for a person who has completed the Initial Training Program and been approved by Canine Dimensions to manage and operate the franchised business. This is to ensure that there is no interruption in the services provided to the clients of the Canine Dimensions franchise.

Furthermore, within the same thirty-day period, the person operating the Canine Dimensions franchise must have at least a 30% equity interest in the franchisee's business. Any transfer of equity must be approved by Canine Dimensions.

Within six months of the death or disability, the interest of the deceased or disabled party must be transferred to a third party approved by Canine Dimensions. If the heirs or beneficiaries are unable to meet these conditions, the personal representative has a reasonable time to dispose of the interest, subject to the transfer terms in the agreement. If no suitable replacement is found, Canine Dimensions has the right, but not the obligation, to operate the franchise until a replacement is found. If Canine Dimensions operates the business, it can collect revenues to cover expenses, including royalty fees, advertising payments, employee salaries, its own expenses, and a management fee of $350 per day.
