2. TERM; OBTAINING A SUCCESSOR FRANCHISE
2.1 Term
The term of this Agreement ("Term") will expire ten (10) years from the date of its execution, unless it is terminated sooner as permitted by this Agreement.
2.2 Right to Acquire a Successor Franchise
After the expiration of the Term, Franchisee may, at its option, acquire one (1) additional successor franchise term of five (5) years each, subject to the following conditions, which must be met prior to obtaining a successor franchise:
- 2.2.1 Franchisee must give Franchisor written notice of Franchisee's election to obtain a successor franchise not less than six (6) months nor more than twelve (12) months prior to the end of the Term or first successor franchise term;
- 2.2.2 Franchisee must not be in default of any provision of this Agreement, any amendment or successor to this Agreement, or any other agreement between Franchisee and Franchisor or
its subsidiaries and affiliates; and Franchisee must have substantially complied with all the provisions and conditions of such agreements during their terms;

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise agreement lasts for a term of ten years. After this initial term, a franchisee has the option to acquire one additional successor franchise term. This successor franchise term is for a duration of five years.
To be eligible for a successor franchise with Canine Dimensions, the franchisee must provide written notice to Canine Dimensions of their intent to acquire a successor franchise. This notice must be given no less than six months and no more than twelve months before the end of the current term.
Additionally, the franchisee must not be in default of any provision of the existing agreement, any amendments to it, or any other agreements between the franchisee and Canine Dimensions or its subsidiaries and affiliates. The franchisee must also have substantially complied with all provisions and conditions of such agreements during their terms to qualify for a successor franchise.
