Has Canine Dimensions derived a profit from arrangements with certain approved suppliers?
Canine_Dimensions Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
We reserve the right to derive a profit from our arrangements with certain approved suppliers, but we have not done so. We have derived revenue from required purchases by franchisees directly from us or our affiliates. There are no caps or limitations on the maximum amount of payments we may receive from our suppliers as the result of franchisee purchases. In our 2024 fiscal year, our total revenue was $387,255.00. Our revenue from the sale of products or services from franchisees for their purchase of branded marketing materials was $12,627.00, which represents approximately 3.3% of the total revenue of the last fiscal year. We do not have any affiliates that derived revenue or other material consideration from required purchases or leases by franchisees in 2023.
Some of our officers own an equity interest in us (the franchisor) and our affiliates, and we may be an approved supplier.
We do not provide material benefits, such as renewing or granting additional franchises to franchisees, based on their use of designated or approved suppliers.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Canine Dimensions reserves the right to profit from arrangements with approved suppliers, but states that it has not done so to date. However, Canine Dimensions has derived revenue from required franchisee purchases directly from Canine Dimensions or its affiliates. In the 2024 fiscal year, Canine Dimensions's total revenue was $387,255.00. Revenue from the sale of branded marketing materials to franchisees was $12,627.00, representing approximately 3.3% of the total revenue for that fiscal year. The document also states that some officers own equity interest in Canine Dimensions and its affiliates, and Canine Dimensions may be an approved supplier.
This means that while Canine Dimensions does not currently receive direct payments from approved suppliers, it does generate revenue from franchisees' mandatory purchases of certain items, particularly branded marketing materials. This revenue stream, though a small percentage of overall revenue, is still a factor for prospective franchisees to consider. The fact that officers have equity interest in the company and its affiliates, and that Canine Dimensions may be an approved supplier, could create potential conflicts of interest, as these parties could benefit financially from required franchisee purchases.
Prospective franchisees should be aware that Canine Dimensions retains the right to profit from supplier arrangements in the future. While there are currently no caps on the payments Canine Dimensions may receive from suppliers due to franchisee purchases, this policy could change. It is also important to note that Canine Dimensions does not offer franchisees any material benefits based on their use of designated or approved suppliers. Franchisees are required to purchase branded materials from Canine Dimensions or its affiliates, who are the only approved suppliers of logo-bearing materials. This requirement ensures brand consistency but also limits the franchisee's ability to shop for the best prices on these items.
Overall, while Canine Dimensions states it has not directly profited from supplier arrangements, the franchise does benefit financially from mandatory franchisee purchases, particularly of branded materials. The potential for future profit from supplier arrangements and the existing revenue from required purchases are important factors for prospective franchisees to consider when evaluating the financial aspects of this franchise opportunity.
