What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to attend webinars and one annual conference. The annual conference fee is currently $595, which covers up to two representatives from the franchise. Franchisees are also responsible for covering their own travel and living expenses to attend the conference.
This mandatory conference is a key component of the Canine Dimensions franchise system, where franchisees can learn about sales techniques, new product developments, training methods, service suggestions, performance standards, and advertising and promotional programs. By requiring attendance, Canine Dimensions aims to ensure that all franchisees are up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices, maintaining consistency and quality across the brand.
The conference fee is a recurring annual expense that franchisees must factor into their operating budget. While the fee itself is fixed, the additional costs of travel and lodging can vary depending on the conference location and the franchisee's distance from it. Franchisees should consider these variable costs when planning their annual budget and ensure they are prepared to invest in their ongoing training and development through conference attendance.
It is common practice in the franchise industry for franchisors to hold annual conferences to provide ongoing training, networking opportunities, and updates on the brand's direction. The fee structure and mandatory attendance policy are also typical, as franchisors seek to maintain brand standards and ensure franchisees remain engaged and informed. Prospective Canine Dimensions franchisees should view the conference as a valuable investment in their business and a chance to connect with other franchisees and the franchisor's leadership team.
