What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, purchasing products, equipment, supplies, inventory, goods, or services from unapproved sources constitutes a material breach of the Franchise Agreement. Specifically, if a franchisee buys these items from suppliers and distributors not designated or approved by Canine Dimensions, without obtaining prior written approval, it is considered a material breach.
Canine Dimensions requires franchisees to purchase all required inventory, goods, equipment, supplies, forms, products, services, and advertising materials from Canine Dimensions or its approved suppliers and distributors. This requirement is in place to maintain consistent standards, high-quality products and services, customer recognition, advertising support, value, and uniformity across all Canine Dimensions businesses. Franchisees are only allowed to use specific inventory items approved by Canine Dimensions.
If a franchisee wishes to use a different supplier, they must notify Canine Dimensions and obtain written approval. Canine Dimensions will review the request and respond in writing within 60 days after having the opportunity to test the item or supplier. While Canine Dimensions is not obligated to approve a new supplier, product, or service, they will not unreasonably withhold approval if the item, product, or service is not one that franchisees are required to purchase from existing suppliers. Canine Dimensions also requires franchisees to purchase branded materials, such as marketing materials, workbooks, car wraps, brochures, business cards, and uniforms, from Canine Dimensions or its affiliates, as they are the only approved suppliers of logo-bearing materials.
Prospective franchisees should understand that Canine Dimensions does not make its criteria for selecting approved suppliers available to franchisees, nor does it make its specifications known to suppliers. Supplier approval might depend on factors such as product quality, delivery frequency and reliability, service standards, financial capability, customer relations, and a supplier's willingness to pay Canine Dimensions or its affiliates for the right to do business with the Canine Dimensions system. Franchisees should carefully consider these restrictions and approval processes before entering into a franchise agreement with Canine Dimensions.
