What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must ensure that each employee or independent contractor who will come into contact with client animals or enter client homes passes a criminal background check before being allowed such access. This requirement aims to protect clients and their pets by ensuring that individuals working directly with them have been screened for criminal history.
Furthermore, the FDD states that Canine Dimensions conducts a criminal background check on each of the franchisee's owners as part of obtaining the franchise. This indicates a consistent approach to ensuring the safety and security of the Canine Dimensions brand and its clientele.
Canine Dimensions also retains the right to require franchisees and their owners to submit to new, updated criminal background checks at any time during the term of the franchise agreement, at the franchisor's discretion. This provision allows Canine Dimensions to maintain ongoing oversight and address any potential concerns that may arise during the franchise term.
