.

You will have the right to establish your franchised business at an "Approved Location," which must be within your Protected Territory. The Approved Location will be your home. The Approved Location must be approved by us.

We have the right to terminate our grant, or reduce the size, of your Protected Territory if you default under the Franchise Agreement for, among other things, failing to maintain our standards or failure to pay royalty and other fees when they become due. Otherwise, continuation of your territorial exclusivity does not depend on your achieving a certain sales volume, market penetration, or other contingency, and there are no other circumstances when your Protected Territory may be altered.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Approved Location for a franchised business must be within the franchisee's Protected Territory. Specifically, the FDD states that the Approved Location will be the franchisee's home, and this location must be approved by Canine Dimensions.

This means that a prospective Canine Dimensions franchisee will operate the business from their residence, provided that Canine Dimensions approves the home as a suitable location. This is common for home-based franchises as it reduces overhead costs associated with renting a commercial space.

However, if a franchisee chooses to move their home outside of their Protected Territory, Canine Dimensions may require the franchisee to obtain rented space within the Protected Territory to continue operating the Franchised Business. This ensures that the business remains within the designated territory, even if the franchisee's residence does not. This condition protects the territorial exclusivity granted to other franchisees and maintains the integrity of the market areas.
