What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees and their owners must comply with Anti-Terrorism Laws. The franchise agreement defines "Anti-Terrorism Laws" as Executive Order 13224 issued by the President of the United States and the USA PATRIOT Act. It also includes all other present and future federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, regulations, policies, lists, and other requirements from any governmental authority that address or relate to terrorist acts and acts of war.
Canine Dimensions requires that franchisees and their owners certify, represent, and warrant that none of their property or interests are subject to being blocked under these Anti-Terrorism Laws and that they are not in violation of any of these laws. This means a prospective franchisee must ensure they are fully compliant with all relevant anti-terrorism regulations and that their assets are not at risk of being blocked by any governmental authority.
Failure to comply with Anti-Terrorism Laws or any blocking of assets under these laws constitutes grounds for immediate termination of the Canine Dimensions franchise agreement. This clause places a significant responsibility on the franchisee to maintain ongoing compliance and awareness of changes in anti-terrorism legislation. Prospective franchisees should seek legal counsel to fully understand their obligations under these laws and ensure they can meet Canine Dimensions' requirements.
