What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a new franchisee must pay a $12,500 training and Protected Territory fee. This fee covers the initial training program for up to two people and the identification of the franchisee's Protected Territory.
This fee is payable whether the franchisee is new or purchasing an existing franchise. The FDD states explicitly that this fee is mandatory and non-refundable under any circumstances.
Prospective franchisees should consider this fee as a sunk cost. It is important to fully utilize the initial training program and understand the defined Protected Territory, as these are key components covered by this non-refundable fee. Understanding the territory is especially important, as the franchisee will be restricted to operating within the approved location, which must be within the Protected Territory.
