What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Canine Dimensions's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all advertising on electronic media must be done by the franchisor through the Internet Advertising Fund only. Electronic media includes any use of the world wide web in connection with the Franchised Business including but not limited to any web sites, web pages, blogs, social networking services, banner advertising, pay-per-click, social media, podcasts, video sharing services, search engine marketing and search engine optimization programs or services. Franchisees are not allowed to engage in any promotional activities or sell any products or services through the Internet, the World Wide Web, or any other similar proprietary or common carrier electronic delivery system; through catalogs, email or other mail order devices sent or directed to customers or prospective customers located anywhere; or by telecopy or other telephonic or electronic communications, including toll-free numbers.
This means that franchisees cannot independently manage their online advertising or promotional activities. Instead, they must rely on the Internet Advertising Fund managed by Canine Dimensions for any electronic media advertising. This fund is designed to maximize recognition of the Canine Dimensions brand and patronage of Canine Dimensions Businesses.
While Canine Dimensions aims to use the Internet Advertising Fund to benefit all Canine Dimensions Businesses, it does not guarantee that expenditures in any geographic area will be proportionate to the contributions from businesses in that area. Nor does it ensure that any business will benefit directly or in proportion to its contribution. Prospective franchisees should consider this when evaluating the potential benefits of the Internet Advertising Fund and how it aligns with their local marketing needs. Franchisees need to be aware that Canine Dimensions has the right to defer, reduce, or suspend Internet Advertising Fund contributions and operations, and even terminate the fund. If terminated, any unspent monies will be distributed to Canine Dimensions Businesses who contributed during the preceding twelve-month period.
