What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Camp Margaritaville Franchise Disclosure Document, a rider to the franchise agreement is executed under specific circumstances to address additional operational aspects. One such instance is the FBR Rider, which applies when a franchisee seeks to operate Margaritaville-branded Restaurants and/or Retail Stores in conjunction with their Camp Margaritaville Resort. This rider grants the franchisee a license to use Camp Margaritaville's intellectual property for these specific restaurant and retail operations at the resort location.
Another rider is the Dwellings Rider, which comes into play when a franchisee wants to develop vacation dwellings, such as bungalows, utilizing Camp Margaritaville's intellectual property for sale and rental at or adjacent to the resort site. Similarly, the Lodge Rider is used when a franchisee intends to operate a Lodge as part of their Camp Margaritaville Resort. The Amenities Rider is applicable when the franchisee wants to incorporate and operate certain amenities, such as a water park, family entertainment center, or marina, using Camp Margaritaville's intellectual property.
Finally, the Management Rider is used when the franchisee engages a manager to operate the resort on their behalf, under a Management Agreement. This rider ensures that the franchisor consents to the manager operating the resort under the terms and conditions of both the franchise agreement and the management rider. Each of these riders modifies the original franchise agreement to account for the specific additional activities undertaken by the franchisee.
