What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Camp Margaritaville FDD, programming assistance can become billable under specific circumstances related to training and compliance. Initially, Camp Margaritaville provides task force support to assist with pre-opening training and setup, with the franchisor covering the costs of its personnel, while the franchisee provides complimentary lodging. However, the franchisee is responsible for all other costs associated with the Task Force, including lodging, per diem, travel expenses, and any other costs related to the Resort's use of the Trainers.

If a Camp Margaritaville franchisee is unable to demonstrate compliance with the franchisor's System Standards after the initial 14 days of Task Force training, the Task Force may extend its stay until compliance is achieved. In this case, the franchisee will be required to pay $500 per day per trainer for each additional day the Task Force remains, in addition to covering the Task Force's additional expenses associated with their extended stay. This condition underscores the importance of adhering to Camp Margaritaville's operational standards and the potential financial implications of non-compliance.

In addition to the Task Force training, Camp Margaritaville also offers optional training programs that franchisees may request for their Resort personnel. The franchisor has the discretion to provide such requested training at the franchisee's expense. Furthermore, franchisees must pay the franchisor's then-current fees for any onsite or offsite training that the Resort's personnel attend, including the Training Program. These fees, along with the costs associated with Resort personnel related to the Training Program, such as wages, salaries, housing, travel-related expenses, and per diem charges, are the responsibility of the franchisee, subject to a mutually agreed budget. If training is conducted onsite at the Resort, the franchisee must cover the costs of lodging and living expenses for all persons conducting such training, including franchisor personnel.
