Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We currently do not require you to expend a certain amount on local advertising, but we expect that you will conduct local advertising. Before you use them, you must obtain our approval of all advertising, marketing, promotional, and public relations plans, programs, and materials that you desire to use or in which you or the Resort desire to participate and which reference any of the Camp Margaritaville Intellectual Property. This includes any materials or use of the Camp Margaritaville Intellectual Property in digital, electronic, computerized, or other form, such as on a Travel Services Website. If you do not receive written approval within 15 business days after we receive the materials, they are deemed rejected. You may not use any advertising, marketing, promotional, or public relations materials or engage in any plans or programs which reference any of the Camp Margaritaville Intellectual Property that we have not approved. You must discontinue using any previously approved materials and engaging in any previously approved plans or programs within the timeframe we specify after you receive written notice from us.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Camp Margaritaville's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not currently required to spend a specific amount on local advertising. However, Camp Margaritaville expects franchisees to engage in local advertising and promotion of their resorts in a commercially reasonable manner.

Before using any advertising, marketing, promotional, or public relations materials that reference Camp Margaritaville's intellectual property, franchisees must obtain approval from the franchisor. This includes materials used in digital, electronic, computerized, or other forms, such as on travel services websites. If the franchisee does not receive written approval within 15 business days after the franchisor receives the materials, the materials are considered rejected.

Camp Margaritaville franchisees are prohibited from using any advertising materials that have not been approved by the franchisor and must discontinue using previously approved materials within the timeframe specified by the franchisor upon written notice. This ensures that all local advertising aligns with the brand's standards and image.
